Berkeley Farmers' Market
A small friendly market,
held in Berkeley Town Hall which is near the crossroads in the middle of town.
The Farmers' Market is held outside the Town Hall and in a downstairs room. Disabled access downstairs is good and there are toilets available,
(there is a lift for access upstairs). Refreshments, provided by local groups, are available upstairs. There is adequate parking 300yds away and there is short stay parking on the street.
Berkeley Farmers' Market has a range of very local produce; cakes, cheese, eggs, meat, plants, poultry and preserves.
Berkeley is the smallest community to support a regular Farmers' Market in Gloucestershire. For nearly four years, until the beginning of 2007, the Farmers' Market was held every third Saturday. I found that producer numbers were decreasing because most producers needed to attend larger markets where they would have a higher turnover. We all decided that it would be better to hold occasional good markets at Berkeley, rather than allow the market to 'fade away'.
Held occasionally, 9am to 12.30pm
