Berkeley Show was held on August Bank Holiday Monday, August 28th. The Farmers' Market was attended by a number of our producers. It was a very busy day, with plenty of enthusiastic customers.

At Frampton Country Fair on September 10th, three producers took part in the Farmers' Market and two others had stalls in the Living Working Countrywide area. All producers reported a busy day with excellent weather.

At Yate Farmers' Market on Wednesday, September 20th we had a small celebration. This was the first anniversary of the Farmers' Market arranged after Elizabeth Stone contacted BBC Points West asking for a market at Yate. The BBC visited us again and did some filming that was broadcast later.

Afterwards we had our own celebration.

There is good news about Stroud Maternity Hospital, the local midwife run unit. The hospital was threatened with closure, but very many people felt it should be kept open. Maternity Hospital supporters took a stall at Dursley Farmers' Market twice and collected comments and signatures. After all their hard work, the supporters were delighted to hear that the Maternity Hospital would not be closed.
